Therapeutic / Deep Tissue Massage

Myofascial cupping is a form of trigger point therapy and myofascial release. This therapy combines massage and stretching techniques with the use of pressurised cups. Soft tissue is suctioned inside the cups, allowing for fluid movement and nutrient supply to the tissues. The movement of fluid detoxifies, stimulates, and increases range of motion. The ultimate goal of this treatment is to promote an individual’s health by loosening soft tissue and increasing circulation which in turn, promotes healing.

Massage + Myofascial Cupping

Got a bun in the oven?! Congratulations!! Please let me know if you are expecting, as it does require a few adjustments in your treatment. Research shows that prenatal massage therapy can help reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches, joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. If you’re in the first trimester, you should clear massage with your doctor before booking. Otherwise, come on in for a visit to alleviate some of that pregnancy discomfort!

Prenatal Massage

Does your child play sports? Suffer from anxiety? Experience restless leg syndrome or growing pains? Through massage and assisted stretching we can alleviate these types of issues your children may be dealing with. While they can benefit from treatment just as much as an adult, they may not be able to handle as much or stay still very long, so I offer a shorter, lighter session for adolescents. 
Please note than children under 16 need parental consent for massage. Your child will also need their own booking profile for insurable receipts, but you can still use your own email. It is preferable that an adult be present during the massage for young children, but parental discretion should be used as you know your kids better than anyone!

Kids' Massage

Scar tissue massage offers more benefits than improving  its appearance. For starters, it decreases scar tissue buildup, which can make muscles stiffer and lose strength. The massage also improves blood flow in the area, enhancing the scar's pliability while encouraging healing. Scar tissue is often tight, so massaging the area will increase your range of movement and the tissue’s flexibility. You can book this treatment specifically, or tack it onto your regular massage by simply asking.

Please note: scar tissue massage should not be performed earlier than six weeks since your injury or surgery. Your scar needs enough time to heal before you work on it, or else you risk disrupting the healing process.

There are many reasons that your teen might need a massage; sports, bad posture, stress, anxiety - some of them are just as busy as adults! They will not likely need as long of a treatment as an adult, but they need the benefits just the same.
